    Paint shop Pro X1 but for about 5%(Our Enhanced Comp) of my photography.

    Marley,
    maybe give Gimp a go.Its free.
    It can be a bit complicated,but theres hundreds of tutorials on the www,and after a while,you'll find it easy.

    I use Serif Photo Plus. Version 6 is a free download.

    It looks and works very much like Photoshop, but I find it simpler to use. I have only used it for cropping and some colour correction (my digi camera tends to take photographs that look very slightly too blue, and the gamma correction tool does the trick every time). But it says that you can do text and even animations with it.

    I used to have Photoshop, but found it unwealdy; particularly as I never used it to do all the super-duper you-can't-bend-it stuff that it's capable of.

    Adobe Photoshop CS3 - even my 9 year old can use it to make his yugioh cards!

    ULead Photo Express, it's even easier to use than MS Paint. If I ever need something more advanced, I'll learn GIMP ('cos it's free) :)
