Whiley proof hanging baskets - ideas?

    This basket of flowers set me back 2 quid. lobelia cost me a pound for a tray of 6, and 4 geraniums for a pound at the market.....

    Thats gorgeous, think thats a likely option for me!

    Whats ideal plant food for baskets, like daily still for water? What product am i looking for?

    I give mine a feed with the same stuff i feed tomatoes.It doesn`t have to be the dear stuff like tomatorite.Wilkos own brand is just as good.When planting up i mixed in a small sachet of plant food and water crystals that you can buy in any pound shop.

    I have an old water butt that the lid doesn't fit too good on, if it is dry, once a week, usually weekends, I 'dunk' the whole basket into the water butt and hold it there till the bubbles stop, that way I know the roots are soaked and if I am less than perfect with the daily watering, they still keep good. Grandad taught me that! Jan
