Victoria, it is probably cheaper for you to get to England by plane than for me to get off the island with my car, as I won't fly it's my only option.

 

If/when I finally get round to doing my dream trip, you should come along

I want to get on the ferry from Plymouth to Bilbao or Santander, northern Spain, then drive through Spain, Portugal, France, Italy, Switzerland, Austria, Germany, France, back to Britain, all by Europe's equivalent of B roads and unclassified, taking months and months over it, no set itinerary, no posh hotels or restaurants, just camping/B&B, local food and drink etc.

Mind, its going to be at least probably 16 years til we get round to it now.

At least 16 years..........ermmmm, you might be going on your own, I'll have at least one foot in the grave by then, I'll be 74 minimum.

Why don't we organise some meet-ups?

Right, fact is, the UK is quite big. So lets have some meet-ups in various quadrants, like NE, NW, SE, SW and midlands.

 

And just what has SCOTLAD done not to be included ?
