Who told us to plant exotics.

    I think that global warming and shortage of fuel are side issues. I think the real problem is world population. Its too big now and getting even bigger. Even the Chinese, who once had a one child policy, are now actively trying to increase their population again. They say there won't be enough young people to look after the old.

    If we can't solve the population problem, all the other solutions such as electric cars are all destined to eventually fail as well. Whilst I appreciate the importance of many of the measures, I feel like the fireman who is trying to put a fire out, but getting a bit pissed off because of all the other people pouring petrol onto it.

    I said above that I didn't think any governments were really serious about the problem, as they only talk about the side issues and won't talk about the core problem - let alone try to tackle it.
