Those comments have also to do with the age, Sussexgardener...
Thank God we will be lucky enough not to witness a war.
But for those who lived through it, or have close relatives/acquaintances who lived through it, maybe had all the houses in their area destroyed and have seen many dying at the hand of the enemies, I don't think it is a feeling that can easily go away, even with the best will.
I have lived in Germany and I remember this guy in the employment centre working very efficiently...just with one arm, the right.
Whether they put him there to make a point...I don't know.
In Germany I have experienced a little racism towards me (I am Italian), possibly because my german was not that good, but overall I admire Germans a lot for their organisation and their kindness.
Changing subjet: I think that Italy is out of the world cup...oh oh!

Nice to see you back Lovely xx

NO, Portugal are damn good players ... unlike England who don't seem to know their left foot from their right one ... or where the ball is supposed to go ... :snz:

:yho:I am certainly looking forward to it Penny.

I have never followed football but started with Euro 2004 when Portugal was the host country. Other than that and Euro 2008 I only watch the World Cup matches and both t'other half and I are avid Portugal supporters (have the flag flying now). I have been a fan of Christiano Ronaldo since before he became so famous. I have also been a fan of David Villa (Spain) for a few years.

:) Roders, I call them The Iberian Trio and it's just coincidental that they are 1st, 2nd and 3rd in the rankings ... perhaps I'm jumping on the donkey cart ...

Brazil and Portugal, what a terrible game ! Turgid and dull, it was one of the worst of the World Cup so far.

Again, Cristiano Ronaldo didn't cover himself in glory.

Funny how Didier Drogba, Wayne Rooney and Ronaldo- stars of that expensive ego stroking advert have all been so poor.

Hi Music. I take it German shirts were de rigueur in Scotland today? :hehe::rotfl:

What a load of rubbish. I'm just glad England is out and the team can crawl away quietly.

Yeah England never looked much good from the start, not that I'm much of a football fan.
I cant imagine why anybody in England would be really.

Just like to see Andy Murray crash out of Wimbledon now, and that would round things off nicely.:D
