In this Guardian article Germany's star young player Mesut Ozil responds to John Terry's claim that some English players were bored during the Group stages.

I soooooooo want Germany to win, one my parents are from there, and two, it showed a clip on the TV from when Spain won Euro 2008, and Sebastian Schwinesteiger was trying to do an interview after the game, and the Spanish players were dancing behind him, and singing so loud that they were drowning him out in his interview, kind of rude in my books!!!....................GOOOOOO Germany!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh Penny I am genuinely sorry about that result, the German's have had a brilliant competition. I thought they would win through.

I thought I was neutral, but it turns out I didnt want the Spanish to win. :(

I didn't want Spain to win either, but then that's because a) I find the Spanish obnoxious and b) I'm a Germanophile. A real shame.
