You'll have to go by boat! :gnthb:

We haven't done Iceland yet but that is fairly close :hehe: so we'll do it in the future.

Can you still smoke on boats shiney ?

Just had a look at your country life thread Victória, smashing pics.

If you live in an orange orchard you could make your own electric. Cut an orange in half, push a copper & a zinc plate into it & you will produce a couple of volts.

Some cruise ships have smoking areas :thumb:. I don't know much about whether ferries do .

All the cruise ships we've been on have a smoking section - small and tucked away! Not pleasant on a Christmas Cruise to Northern Europe!

Of course, if you pay extra for a Balcony Room, you can smoke there!:D

Can you just go out on the deck & smoke ? I know we can on charter fishing boats but not been on a ferry since Willow was a baby.

It gets a bit complicated as it depends on which cruise line you travel with.

Some ban smoking completely (not many). Almost all ban smoking in the cabins - except some Chinese cruise lines. A large amount ban smoking on balconies. A lot tend to have one or two parts of the open decks for smoking and one, sometimes two, places indoors. All of them now make specific reference to them in their brochures - in small print.

MSC, a large, privately owned Italian company have quite a number of areas they allow smoking. I think they have one of the most peculiar places allowe for smoking. The indoor swimming pool - where most of the children swim

If you want more info then see whether this link will come up on your computer. It should take you to page 2 of a topic and post 14 will have a link to a pdf file listing a lot of the cruise lines and their policies.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who can sit for ages trying to figure that out :thumb:
