Why do I still have so many tomato flowers?

wow, they look fantastic frogesque! The tomatoes are acutually alot larger than I thought they would be with this variety, they are often described as 'micro.' I have a few in pots also but I supported them with canes which may not have been a good idea for a variety which prefers to hang, I suppose I'll learn by my mistakes this year. Did you do anything to aid pollination when they were in the greenhouse? Even though the amount of tomatoes is increasing I'm still convinced the flower to tomato ratio in my plants aren't great.

Nothing special re pollination but it's difficult to water the base only so they have been showered and fed fairly regularly with a medium rose watering can. We've also had a fair number of bumble bees in the greenhouse and they are brilliant pollinators. Other than that they've just been left to get on with it (no staking or support other than being close to eachother) while the larger toms (Sweet Million, Ailsa Craig and some gathered seed from last year) get all the usual TLC.

I'm pretty pleased with them considering the lack of attention they get and they are the first to produce fruit so I'll probably grow them again next year. We tried to grow them last year outside in half moon type baskets on a south wall but it was virtually impossible to keep them going in water and were a bit of a disaster - hence the large buckets in the greenhouse this year.

Yours don't look to be doing too bad so let 'em be. If the leggy growth appears to be taking all the goodness from the plants then just chop it back and let light and air get to the fruit. You could also maybe try a really good watering to flush the compost then next day a half strength feed to force the fruit a bit.
