Good story. Makes me wonder: what did they use as a tuning fork to get a consistent 432?

Some parts of Europe still use 443 instead of 440 (Russia, e.g.).

My plants thrive on Hard Rock / Metal / and Pink Floyd.....:spinning:

I love my music, if I had a choice between Music and my garden, it would be music, only because I can take it with me.

Lyrics, guitar solo's, drum fills, all conjure up memories for me, be they good or not.

A tune can deliver an emotion, thought, or decision in a few minutes, where as I would take hours and hours.

I am not as eloquent with words as some of you, but it is my theory, that 'music' makes the world go around. What better way to embrace congeniality, than with a tune? Music crosses all boundaries, be they cultural, racial, economic, social, whatever, plus it creates a talking point, and surely the way to peace and harmony across our world, is to be achieved through talking, no?

This tune, me thinks, sums it up ...........

Bet that had one or two of you going :yikes:, at my choice there, you see I have a saying that, Good Tunes is Good Tunes regardless of genre, just because I prefer 'Rock' music, I don't ignore other genres (except Micheal Jackson, and I have my own thoughts on that ).

Music, draws you in, and keeps you there. It gives you laughter and tears, it comforts you in times of unhappiness, and lifts your spirits. We may cry when a certain 'tune' is heard, but at the same time we are lifted with the memories that that tune evokes.

Think I have rambled on for long enough......

TLDR ; I love music and everything about it.

Thanks for that HG! :dbgrtmb: I'm a life long fan of Led Zeppelin and Robert Plant. I have Zep's full British collection on vinyl excluding the re-masters, couldn't see the point of those. I also have most of Roberts solo albums. To me Led Zeppelin were the most accomplished rock band ever and there will never be another rock band that can achieve the perfection of Page, Plant, Jones and Bonham. As individual artistes their abilities were amazing and together formidable! They were and still are the best rock band in the world as far as I'm concerned.

If I'm feeling low or angry at something a session under the headphones with Led Zeppelin will change my mood.

I listen to other music as well but I was reared in the rock era and that has a big influence on me.

Why do we like music? I think because it gives us the ability to escape from the day to day hustle and bustle of our lives and takes us to another plain, a chance to switch off and enjoy getting lost in what we hear.

I wasn't around when led Zeppelin were at their peak but understand what you mean. They had an edge and variety that other rock bands don't really have.

When the levee breaks gets me every time.
