    I actually don't love where I live!
I was born and bred up on the North Cotswold hills but live 10 miles away below the escarpment in the Vale of Evesham. The air is to heavy down here:Dand the folk too 'urban'.
Having said that,I wouldn't want to move back to my old Hamlet because it's mainly a, holiday home /dormatory now filled with incomers.
I understand they still have a Garden Club, but they don't allow anyone from the small Council Estate to join anymore.

i was born in a village 5 miles south of carlisle and now live in the great border city itself
i am spoilt for choice the cumbrian countryside is stunning.
the lake district national park, the north pennines AONB, the solway coast AONB,
the border country and hadrians wall, the eden valley all in cumbria and on our doorstep we have the southern uplands just over the border in scotland

living on the city outskirts i am five minutes from lush green countryside in all directions

i sometimes envy the warmer climate in devon and cornwall both are extremely beautiful counties but i love where i live

I love Norfolk because although it is very flat :) we are within easy reach of the lovely Norfolk coastline, especially North Norfolk with Wells, Holkham, Blakeney and many more.
We also have the Norfolk Broads - manmade waterways teeming with wildlife. We have made the most of this with many boat trips.
Norwich is a "fine city" and within easy reach for us. Norwich castle, the market, the shopping centre itself all well worth a visit. :gnthb:

The photo was taken from a boat trip from a private Broad at one of the many beautiful gardens called Fairhaven.
