This one is a big tree 20-30 feet tall and the trunk is about 1-1 and half feet thick, so i'm now going to keep a eye on it

I've walked past it for 20 years, didn't even know it was there untill some flower/seeds blew of in the wind to the ground
Like you say there some Elm around here which have died which are about 10-15 feet tall with trunk about 6 inches
May try some seeds if i can get some when ready

Please do @Jiffy it would be great if that tree had some immunity to Dutch Elm Beetle... When I was a kid there was a 6 mile stretch of Elms on the edge of the big estate in Berkshire where I lived..
They have done a replanting scheme in later years with Beech, Oak, Ash and Hornbeam.. Not the same though... They don't groan like the Elms did in the wind..:noidea:

Sorry, i will not report this tree as the land owner hates nosey people about and the tree may be cut down!
There once was a bit of land which was full of Orchids, someone said some thing and words were said to that person and next thing the Orchid were gone
These people are nice in the public eye but nasty when no ones around so mums the word on this one

A selection of hyrbrid Bluebells. Blues are looking kind of English with deep blue, slender bells, creamy antlers, curved upper-stem but have thick foliage and stems. The Whites aren't so refined. There's also a little pinky making an appearance in the middle. Natural selection in motion.
