Goodness @Scroggin - do you think a slug ate some of that one that looks like fly agaric? I thought they were deadly?

I rarely find fly agaric intact, I think you're right it's probably slugs though apparently red squirrels have been known to eat them, but we only have greys here in Kent. The recent rain has seen a big increase in the amount of mushrooms locally.

@Scroggin you have so many fabulous photos of wildflowers especially orchids and now you are sharing again fabulous photos of different fungi. You really should collate them and produce a leaflet/book/or what ever about your finds. Brilliant and I love seeing your finds.

Thank you @On the Levels , I'm just lucky that I live near some lovely countryside. I'm out everyday, regardless of the weather, as we have a Border Collie. It's nice to look out for different flora and fauna.

Do you know which ones these are @Scroggin ?
              111_1038.JPG
They do look like some of the ones in your recent post.

I rarely see those fly agaric ones untouched either, and we don't have reds in this area. I'd say slugs are fairly likely - we certainly have plenty of them! I often see those on a verge not far away. Must try and get a pic. I never take my camera when out daily, but I should try and do some of the fungi around here. There's a house near me which has a bit of grass between two hedges and it's always got lots of them, and we usually have plenty of the shaggy inkcaps.

Hi @fairygirl , I'm no expert, that's why I and my partner take so many pics, that way it gives us a chance to compare in books at home. Looking at your picture it looks like it might be a type of ' Oysterling' ? We find it fun to see what we can find, there's certainly no shortage of different fungi.

Thanks @Scroggin . Yes - we have all sorts of stuff round here too as there's a good mix of landscape and habitat/sites etc. That one is from a recent hillwalk though
