Our granddaughter put some wild flowers on me a couple of days ago (a Dandelion & a Daisy) & then insisted on taking a photo of them!

She also wanted me to take a photo of her with a patch of Daisies growing in the grass outside of our balcony!

    Here are the resulting photos!

@strongylodon They look really great! I've never seen wild Orchids here in the UK & only one when we lived in Spain. A small orchid with tiny black flowers that resembled bees. Where the plant was growing couldn't be further from our imagination of where Orchids grow! It was growing on a dirt road that must have been as hard as stone & it was very, very dry & terribly hot being as it was the middle of July or August! :phew::rolleyespink:

Just this morning I walked down a road where one side is an open field or common. I saw there were lots of Cowslips growing in a long line alongside a drainage ditch. So for the first time ever I went over & took some photos. I've seen these flowering here for a great many years but it had never occurred to me to take photos of them before!

This last photo shows a "Cowslip meadow" I had never before seen so many in one place!

We have loads of Cowslips at the side of the main road that bypasses our village, not seen so many in years, seems to be a good year for them this year.

The "meadow" I saw yesterday was the greatest number I've ever seen in one place!

@Balc your black orchids in Spain could be 'Bumble Bee' orchids as they are found in the Med and like dry ground and poor soil. The Bee orchids here have bright pink petals and a brown 'pouch', the Bumble Bee's petals are dull so the black 'pouch' is noticeable.

Thanks for the info, @strongylodon :blue thumb: I did it search for this orchid in Spain and it would seem you are right, so thanks.
