I had a 1ft square patch to do last year and I used the course stuff ,came up a treat.
This year I got a lot more to cover but they run out of course so I had to buy the fine stuff. Two weeks and it is coming through nicely.
I did read somewhere about a dip in the grass and how to repair it ,not sure if on this forum or web,I think I will do another post and ask a question in the lawn section.

Hi roscoe , never managed to get down town to Wilkos. So as I scarified my lawns this weekend I used a Westland seed from my local GC. I will be getting some this weekend though :dbgrtmb:

Harry take some pics id be keen to see how you get on:). I have scarified back lawn this afternoon and leveled a few hollows and thinking about some of the Boston seeds childs play for the new lawn and also might use it to overseed the back.

I have got some photos of the lawn before the refurb . I'll put some on this weekend . Could do with some rain its hard to keep my repair patches wet . Its sunny but the air is cold a bit breezy and also very chilly night time temps . This is probably not great grass growing conditions.

Pictures of the back lawn before and after .
Scarifying , spiking (hard work ! ) ,patches reseeded and top dressed with a mix of top soil , sharp sand and MPC ( all sieved - hard work again ! )
The new seed is just starting to show after 2 weeks . I am using the sprinkler but hopefully we will get some real rain on Wednesday and with the warmer nights this should pep things up.
I have never seen my back lawn as bad as this after winter. Possibly the long period of cold dry weather we had , or could it be a feeding problem from last year  I used Miracle Gro® soluble feed.
