Knowing you, you probably went back into store and got a reduction for the split bags, and bought a dustpan and brush for 5p and got a free greenhouse thrown in as a "good will gesture", then went and swept your compost up...

      Proper job...:rasp:

      Steve...:)

Get yourself one of the foldable Porter Trolleys, Harry.:dunno::heehee: I buy the 125 litre Bags of B&Q General Purpose in lots of three using their trolleys to get it to the car, have a heart attack getting all 3 of the 97lbs bags into the car, and do that 5 times.:hate-shocked: I use a Porter Trolley to move them out of the car and stack them by the Gable end of the House.........and then have a :coffee::snorky:

        Wilko Bulbs Perennials Agapanthus 1pk

Does anybody know if these are available in store. It seems a good price to me. Morrissons sell individual baby plants for £3 each. Wilko is a bit out of my way but I can go that way if I have the need.

                At last!

And about time too, they haven't even had a buy 2 get 1 free seed offer this year :frown: Which means they still have loads of seeds left to reduce

Last Thursday Wilko's in the nearest city had reduced all seeds to half price, incl. the Johnson's range, and there were barely any left. But I checked my local Wilko on Saturday and they wasn't anything reduced.

Thanks @Scrungee , I'd better pay my local store a visit tomorrow.

I should have checked prices online before posting, but I was instore using my phone.

But checking their website it appears to be a national reduction for the hanging baskets, for example Wilko Seagrass Hanging Basket 35cm | Wilko

Bargains to be had at my local Wilko, but you had to look carefully as the discounts weren't shouted about....just regular shelf edge labels with ridiculously low prices. I'd nearly given up by the time I went onto the final aisle of gardening, as there were only small discounts elsewhere.

The big pots had been reduced to silly low prices e.g. £20 down to £2.50
I got as much as I could vaguely get into someone else's car boot....
Bought a set of blue terracotta ones med sizes down to £1 and £2, get some green terracotta ones at £1 to pop Christmas plants in as gifts.

Fibreglass faux lead ones 30cm square at £2.50....the big ones were £5, those tall plastic imitation stone ones were £3 and the big ornamental plastic ones (barrel-shaped etc) were down in price too.

Also the bamboo, black fern & willow fencing was down to about a tenth of the original price!

Granular plant feed was also down in price, as was concentrated tomato feed, which had sold out. The seeds are still at full price.

But definitely worth checking out your local Wilko every week for new markdowns!

Mycorrhizal Fungi is now half price online for free click and collect Wilko Best Rootgrow Mycorrhizal Fungi 150g | Wilko £2 for 150g

I've just ordered some to avoid finding none in store later today (they only had 3 packs last week). The previous cost/Kg hasn't been changed in that link and shows it was £4 for 150g. If it's cheaper in store I'll get refund, but I've never found it better than half price.

                        I think @JWK uses this.

Checked out Wilko on our way to the Tesco end of day reductions (90% off today, a trolley load of food for £6.50).

Pots and cell trays half price, larger tubs and ornamental planters, etc. still full price.

Tomato fertilizer, etc. still full price.

Various reduction on potting compost, for example Jacks Magic 40L reduced to £2.50 from £4, Levington Tomorite 30L growbag reduced to £1.50 from £3.75, Westland Gro sure seed compost 20L reduced to £2

They were setting up the racking for autumn planted spring bulbs, plus back to school/off to uni stuff should be appearing any day now, requiring more gardening clearout.
