If anybody wants to find out if their local store(s) have any of that 2 x 6m heavy duty mulch sheets that have been reduced to 75p (from £7.50) the Catalogue Number is (or was as it's no longer on the website) 0299006 and if you phone Wilko.com on 08456 08 08 07 they should still be able to give you stock levels of individual stores (if you ask really nicely - they're really helpful). It really is fantastic stuff. It weighs 148g/square metre which is a lot heavier than the 108g/m2 'heavy duty' Mypex on e-Bay

I'd forgotten about "veg., etc." which included rhubarb plants and packs of 3 strawberries @ 75p each.

I had my arms rather full of mulch sheet yesterday, so I had a look at the other stuff whilst in town today (daughter's prom dress shopping - I went the garden centres & Wilkos) and bought for 75p each:

4 packs Rhubarb (were £2.30 -I had to sort thru 20+ packs to find some showing signs of life)
3 packs of 3 Calla Lillies (were £4)
            2 packs of 60 Gladys (were £4)

'Big Cheese' spring rat traps are now 25% off.

All hombrew stuff 50% off! (I think the promotion is for Father's Day and lasts until Sunday).

That's equipment, chemicals, wine kits, beer kits, buckets, demijohns, airlocks, grape concentrate, etc,, etc.- absolutely everything half price.

Lots of stuff has sold out online http://www.wilko.com/kitchen/home-brewing/icat/70?sort=price&parentCategoryRef=70&order=asc&q=* but I've just come back from my local store (with a trolley load) and the shelves were full (when I got there!).

P.S. Onion sets now 25p/bag. If you plant them closely in containers you can get 'spring onions' in record time.

The first Wilkos brand seeds have been reduced in store by stickering as 50% off. Only about a dozen varieties that have disappeared from their website, so don't go rushing off to your nearest store. As seeds are still on buy 2 get 1 (cheapest) free, both offers will work in conjunction with one another, so if you see them buy multiples of 3 that are the same price.

For example - three packs of 80p seeds reduced to 40p each (use by 2015) came through at 80p for the three packs (3 x 40p = £1.20, less 40p for one packet free = 80p total).

This looks as if it could be useful to use with £50 of stuff that's been reduced online in conjunction with a further 4.2% TotalCashBack and collect in store.

Garden canes reduced by up to 50%. 8 foot x 5 bamboo canes reduced from and £2 to £1, whatever length was £1.50 reduced to £1 the 10 packs of split green sticks reduced from 60p to 40p.

The trouble is that the canes I've seen in store are a load of spindly, bent rubbish and I only found 3 packs of 8 foot canes worth buying, mainly through force of habit as I got 20 packs when they were 75% off last year and were of decent quality.

Wilkos reduced them to 39p each in the middle of August last year and we bought about 100 of them at that price to sell planted up for fund raising.

The trouble is that Wilkos now seem to be putting stuff back up in price rather than reducing it further. Strawberry/Potato bags are now back to over £3 each when they were reduced to 75p a while ago. 600mm x 10m chicken mesh has gone back up from £5 to £9 and the steel greenhouse staging I mentioned on another thread has gone back up from half price to full price. It used to be that reduced stuff would eventually be knocked down to pennies!

All the garden twine has disappeared without being reduced and I normally rely upon stocking up when 50- 75% off. I've had to resort to getting a few small balls from Tescos at 75% off as I'm probably only down to a couple of year's supply.
