Yes, it's actually cheaper to feed the birds with shop bought mince pies!

Paid 89p in Morrisons and got £1 back from Shopitize, so got paid 11p to give 6 Mr Kripling Mince Pies to the in-laws:

(also got that half price Quorn mince reduced by a further 40p)

Yet another haul of bargains from Wilkos (it seems they are clearing out whatever bits and pieces are left in their storerooms at knockdown prices to make room for all the Xmas stock arriving):

1 x Digital max/min thermometer, for 75p (and I thought they were a bargain half price at £3.75)
      1 x 10L bag Perlite for 50p

      These were all 10p each

19 x pack of 2 sachets concentrated all killer for spraying or ground drench (were £4) I'm hoping these will prove useful for quickly dealing with difficult to get at ant nests under Mypex mulch sheets.
      11 x ant killer bait station x 2 (were £3.50)
      1 x Pack of 4 Coolglass sachets (was £4.79)
      3 x stainless steel widger
      3 x 2 pack of tool hooks

Including the reduced bird seed we bought the other day, that's £155's worth of stuff for £6.55

No seed left in my Wilkos, always walk down the remnants of the gardening isle scanning for reduced, nothing like that yesterday.

All the 10p stuff I got was away from the gardening section, with the other assorted reductions, and that was in all 3 stores I visited. (every so often we have a bargain hunting road trip, visiting 3 Wilkos, 3 B&Ms, Asda, Home Bargains, 3 Garden Centres, Poundstretcher, 99p Store, numerous charity shops, and multiples of shops that have O2 Priority Moments freebies, each of us showing the same old screenshots with the code at each store).

All Xmas stuff now only 20p.

Gardening items include Santa pot holders and plants (worth it just for the pot holders/pots for children to grow something for parents/grandparents next Xmas) These were £4 each with a tiny tatty plant.

            wilko Xmas Santa.jpg

Herb kits complete with terracotta pots, again something that could be used by children to grow as presents, or perhaps to also paint/decorate the pots and maybe put a bulb in for Easter?

            wilko Xmas herbs.jpg

We also got loads of candles and packs of tea lights up to the RRP of £5 for 20p and dogs Xmas stockings stuffed full of treats and toys again all for 20p (dog treats are for life, not just for Xmas). They also had cat toys @ 20p.

Now £15 in store, exactly the same as those previously being sold for £6!

Something else I bought (just wired it up) was a mini Xmas tree complete with pack of 10 LED lights powered by 2 x AA batteries (supplied). Chucked the 'real tree' (a big twig dropping needles) straight in the bin as all I wanted were the lights that I'll use to illuminate our home made wreath this coming Xmas. Bargain for 20p! (just the batteries would be that price in Poundland).

Arrgh, could do with some of them right now, as we have "tenants" in our garage, which we also use as a rather large walk-in pantry...

Rat & Mouse odour treatment sachets reduced to only 20p each!

Cor, for around £1 you could get rid of the stink in every rat infested room in your house - bargain.
