Ah thanks. The one in Edinburgh must have shut down. I've never heard of them at all. :)

Lots of seeds, mainly those past their sow by month, are both 25% off and 3 for 2, which would be 50% off if the 25% was taken off the 2 packs charged for.

Only thinking yesterday, must be nearly time to start haunting "Wilkos", some chap on my local "Facebook" gardening site is selling things I bought for 25p for a £1 an item.

Checking back through previous posts it appears that around 20th July is when there's been a lot of reductions in previous years, but June reductions have been rather scarce this year. I also saw that in June 2013 seeds were reduced to 75% off, June 2014 50% off plus 3 for 2, but this year only 25% off plus 3 for 2.

All seeds now 50% off PLUS buy 2 get 1 free, so my 3 x £1.30 packets of Ferrari fine French dwarf beans came through at 65p each, then a further 65p was deducted, making it £1.30 for three packets, an overall saving of 67%.

Make sure you do multiple shops of the same price seeds as the B2G1F saving is on the cheapest packet(s).

Ironically my Ferrari didn't get very far very fast this year. :roflol:
But I think it was my fault rather than Wilko's!

Our Wilkinsons are doing the buy 2 get 1 free only on Johnsons Seeds, and the 50 % off only on their own brand. So beware, it looks like it differs according to the store.

Have you checked what's being deducted at the till?

They often get their signage wrong, last July the display in my local store said both 75% off plus 2 for 1, but only the 2 for 1 reduction came off, didn't pay and went to the Wilkos in the next town to stock up.

Picked up a couple of wilko garden obelisks - £3 each. Their rose arches are also £3 each - slightly annoying as I've just paid £9.99 for a similar rose arch from another shop:doh:.

Interestingly, the obelisks are £5 (full price) on the wilko interweb site

Packs of 36 plastic clothes pegs reduced to 25p/pkt, usefull for fixing net curtains/fleece to bean/tomato/pea/etc. canes/sticks/etc when frost is forecast, saves upsetting O.H. if you have some specifically for that purpose.

One local Wilkos has only 25% off (but I saw that the signs had 75% off on the back, so that might be next reduction), the one that has 3 for 2 plus 50% off has some seeds at 75% off and the rest at full price, not even with 3 for 2.

Walk in greenhouses now £7.50, Planting Magic £1.10, square pots 75off (NB Wilkos don't seem to be very good calculating % reductions!), and lots of other bits and pieces with more being added every day, but varying from store to store.

I got one of those blow-aways yesterday. My store didn't have any sale signs so I took it to the till to get priced up, certainly was a bargain, thanks @Scrungee !

Double packs of Potato growbags 50p per pack of 2, 25p/bag. I got some instore on July 26th 2012 also for 50p/pack http://gardenerscorner.co.uk/forum/threads/wilkos-half-price-sale.42517/page-2#post-571986 and that's what I been using this year. I looked instore but there was none to be found, but they have them at that price online so I've just ordered some more click and collect, 34 packs left in stock http://www.wilko.com/seed-trays-plant-pots+planters/wilko-grow-bag-potato-2-pk/invt/0299007

I suspected that reduction might be national as they've disappeared from Wilkos website, square pots and Planting Magic have also gone.

The value of this thread for checking out when to start bargain hunting!

Yes, I was in a different Wilko today and got a nice 5ft x2ft black metal trellis for £2, lots of seed tray inserts (different sizes) 3-packs for 25p, a box of superphosphate for £1 and a load of Johnson's seeds 75% off and 3 for 2 i.e. 1/6th their original price.

(Then had to bring it all back in train & rain!)

Also at this store some seeds not discounted...I did try taking them through the til!, but sadly not 75% off. Can't work out the system as some at full price are old stock.
