Aw well done @Scrungee ! Super jel.. haven't got the nerve to tell them half the labels should be changed (should man up) and wish I knew about the bfb.

Here's the bits I forgot last night/still can't find my receipt , Wilko seeds are 50p and Johnson's £1, picked up that seed an potting mix and some water retaining basket/pot stuff, obelisk and arch 2.50 each. wilko tom feed £1, wilko slug deterrent granules/grit £1.50, windowsill propagator £can't remember and some spring bulbs but they were full price, 5 indoor pots £1 each 20160908_100104[1].jpg

I see you got some of the Gro-Sure seed and cutting compost. It's really good stuff and what I use for anything smaller than bean, pea, etc. seeds.

Your store was only showing the 50p/£1 seeds offer, but some are showing that together with the previous 3 for 2 seeds offer, if they are both showing and both don't work (3 wilkos for £1 or 3 Johnsons for £2) take a pic of signage, contact Wiko customer services and they'll send you a gift card as compensation.

Another tip, where stuff has reduction labels on them (rather than the new price being on a shelf edge label) and the barcodes marked through, if you can find one where they haven't obliterated the barcode it'll scan at 1p

Sometimes individual stores reduce some items at different times to other stores.

Looking back on this thread to previous Septembers, I thought it's about time there should be some better bargains about, so on the way back from taking our daughter back to uni today, called in a Wilkos that's normally first to reduce prices and found that 75% off reductions had started:

50L Miracle Gro MPC reduced to £1.25, only damaged bags left but who cares at that price.

10L Perlite or Vermiculite both reduced to £1

8 x heavy duty tie top garden bin bags reduced to 25p. I use these for storing pots, seed trays, cell trays, apple pressing buckets, glass bottles for apple juice, etc. in over winter to keep slugs/snails out of them.

20m rolls of galvanised wire reduced to 25p (think they were £1.25). I find this really handy for lacing together 2 lengths of cheap reduced fencing to make something tall enough for anti-rabbit fencing, plus another strand along the top helps reduce sagging). Also useful for making clips for pegging strawberry runners into pots.

8 x 4m Crop/Pond protection netting reduced to 75p (this is the small square mesh, not the stretchy 'diamond' shape 'strawberry' mesh.

And finally found peg extractors reduced to only 10p in their camping section

Called in my local store and it appears ALL compost and grow bags are now 75% off, got a boot load of £1.25 50L Miracle Gro MPC and some more Gro sure seed and cutting compost for 75p. Branded grow bags only 50p. 50L Bark chips only 75p.

Bamboo canes now 75% off, 10 x 2.40m canes for 75p, pots now 75% off, the store was full of people loading up trollies and there was a constant stream at the back door of people collecting compost, BBQs, lawnmowers, etc., all with big reductions.

Something I forgot to mention was shed stain/paint/treatment, not Wilkos but might have been the likes of Cuprinol 'garden shades' or something similar, 5L for £2.00

5L? Awesome, that stuff is normally 20 odd quid.. nearly 4 quid for a 250ml tin!

So going on a wilko hunt as soon as the mr comes in.

Hope there's compost left, I've just started digging up my lawn for flower borders and a veg patch.

They're only 15L bags and poor quality, I bought lots last year at 20p each for improving my clay soil, they also make very comfortable kneeling pads.

As the compost is all but cleared out I've now turned my attention to grow bags:

Westland 33L reduced to 50p, 1.5p/L, I'll use the compost from these for filling plant sale pots (got to raise some money as our daughter needs £6,000 to go on a uni field trip to Africa next year).

Tomorite 50L reduced to £1, 2p/L, I'll use the compost (previously found it good stuff)
from these in pits for planting out tomatoes into polytunnel borders.

Wiped out Neath store, manager even thanked me.. 30 bags various sizes £18.25. Only 5 50l bags and no growbags. Well happy though, I'm done. No more wilko hunts for me until Xmas clearance :) 20160917_130601.jpg

An average of 61p/bag suggests they were all 75% off.

I store my (Gro sure) seed & cutting compost under cover until next year, the other stuff gets either stored outside raised off the ground on pallets (so worms don't wriggle in via the small holes in compost bags) and they get covered with plastic sheet to keep the rain out so they're not sodden all winter/spring (I've found woven polypropylene tarps are not 100% waterproof, but maybe I keep them for too long). Beware of instructions/labels on the likes of fertilizers being eaten by snails & slugs over winter depending on where stuff is stashed.

All I need now is for the tomato feed to go to 75% off and I'll top up my stockpile, only got 1 year's supply left.

£18.00 sorry, added on the seed trays. I'm sure the screening was 2.50 in my local  was told reductions started Thursday so will keep that date in mind for next year.

It's bloody worth doing, I don't blame you. Shame you can't reserve stock online and collect.. at least then you know it won't be a wasted journey. Hope you get what you want

Forgot to add, seed and potting on compost will be inside my shed but the other mpc will stay outside, I left bags out winter just gone and was sopping wet. So will deffo get them covered over and I got a pallet ready, knew it would come in handy! Cheers
