Can't understand why Wilko reduce prices and then put them back to full price, wonder if they get more stock in to sell and give it a go at full price.

Our local store has had the worst sales this year, usually the gardening items get reduced by as much as 75% to clear and some items literally have a 10p sticker put on them!!!, but a lot of stuff just went off the shelves without being reduced, other random things ended up in a specific sale area at slightly reduced prices. Even seeds went no lower than 50p a pack :rolleyespink:

I think "Wilkos" have caught on to a lot of us buying things up at sale time, mine too seemed a little lacklustre, and agree some items just disappeared, I was looking for the chicken pellets, gone, seeds did get reduced to 10p though.

There's 5 Wilkos within the area I regularly travel, and they all have different reductions at different times, some never reduced certain items whilst others reduced them by 50% or 75%, at some stores stuff disappeared from their shelves when other stores reduced it in increments down to 75% off.

Unless they find some more gardening stuff behind the Halloween stock in their storerooms, I think that's it until the Autumn planting bulbs get reduced, and then it'll only stuff like bargain cough syrup, bed bug spray, brightly coloured wigs, giant plastic ears, etc. for a long time.

And I guess that's what I found this afternoon whilst out getting various Sunday reductions :

2.5L bronze decorative jugs reduced to 20p
            [IMG]

Large black pot saucers reduced to 20p/pack.

7Kg Boxes of bonemeal reduced to £1 (only 14p/Kg!).

They only went down to half price (£50) in my local stores, then they disappeared, I assume put back in the stockrooms. It's always worth having a good wander round the whole store as the reductions can be located in some obscure corner of the store.

Child maintenance is far too expensive a risk to be taking with cheap condoms.

Love me ,feel me, sue me for maintenance.

Ah wish I had been on here last few weeks to see the mowers, jugs and bonemeal had been reduced..

I'll pass on wall plugs and condoms though :blue thumb:
