In Morrison's I've just spotted Geum Koi 2 for £3. I've been looking at Mrs J Bradshaw. Are they similar enough to buy it now?

Yes, I can see the koi is orange now I've had the chance to sit down and look at it. Originally I was looking at having both Mrs Bradshaw and Lady Strathdene. I don't have a lot of depth so I decided on just Mrs Bradshaw. I wanted a splash of red now and then spread throughout the border. I already have orange in the poker and the coreopsis. I am looking at taller yellow and/or white flowers/bushes to stand at the back. And/or a similar coloured climber along the back fence. I'm not sure if Koi is too much orange or would it be better than the red splashes of Mrs Bradshaw. Decisions, decisions :rolleyespink:

Emailed my local Wilko & had a phone call apologising for late stock, as there had been a 'handling error', bulbs should be in at some point next week, presuming that applies to the seed sale also :yahoo:

Seeds 75% off today in my local store I've not visited in a few days, all compost, fencing/mesh and tomato food have suddenly disappeared.

Metal thermometers previously reduced to £1, now back to £8, seed labels previously reduced to 50p, back to £1.

The Wilko I visited yesterday had separated their gardening stuff into 2 areas, one full price that I assumed would remain there that way, and the other all 50 - 75% off that I expect will be reduced further to make way for more Halloween/Xmas stock, but other, smaller stores often get rid of everything.

No canes in my local store for over a week, but went in today to collect an online order [1] and about 15 bundles of 2.4m 'bean' canes had re-appeared, reduced by 75% down to 75p/bundle of 10, exactly what I've been looking for. Bàmboo canes dissapearing then reappearing has happened a lot in previous years.

They'd reorganized their gardening areas yet again to make way for more Xmas stuff, everything from seed display now heaped up in a couple of plastic storage boxes.

[1] Needed some wine making ingredients that have always been OOS instore, plus there's 4.2% cashback on online orders Wilko Discount Codes, Cashback & Vouchers | TopCashback also stocked up on dog biscuits as they're £1.00 instore and were only 85p (less 4.2%) online, getting them down to 81p/pkt, £2.03/Kg (£2.93/Kg at Pets at Home). It's always worth comparing instore and online prices, but they've fixed that glitch as they must've wondered why somebody would order a year's supply of dog biscuits to collect instore. I try and save on everything I buy.
