Nothing reduced at all at my local store, just a small amount of gardening stuff that will stay at full price. A smaller store in a nearby town had even less, just some weedkiller and houseplant feed and no tools whatsoever. No fun at Wilkos now.

Walking past again this morning and was stopped in my tracks by one of the staff putting more stickers on all the remaining plants, so I had a closer look at them ~ 10p each to clear!!!!!!!!! :hate-shocked: , how could I resist :snork: ; I picked the 3 healthiest Musas and bought them for a grand total of 30p :dancy::hapfeet::biggrin:

This is them after I removed the plastic wrapping a couple of dead leaves, looking quite good, new suckers and plenty of roots..:dbgrtmb:

Well I popped back today and unfortunately they decided to advertise the fact that they were selling off all their remaining plants for 10p each :heehee::doh:, so there wasn't much left, the one thing I did pick up was a rather nice purple cordyline in a 1 litre pot, went to pay for it and rather embarassingly it scanned at 1p!!!!!!!!, so 1p I handed over :heehee:, thank you very much :dbgrtmb:

I've bought some cheaper items in the past that have been reduced down to 99% off where because of rounding down to the nearest penny it meant the 'charge' on the receipt was minus 1p.

EDIT: It may have been only £0.00 on the receipt, and worked on anything less than 50p because 50p less 49.5p (rounded to 50p) was free, still a pretty good price.

It would be great if we could have a thread on best buys ,money saving ideas,I am sure it would be well read and might even throw up a few ideas we just haven`t thought of ourselves.I vaguely remember a similar thread but it wasn`t supported and petered out,but times are a changing and belts are tightening,I have this morning been notified my energy prices are going up December.

I've seen it posted on another forum that all Halloween stuff at Wilkos is now 75% off.

Wonder when the autumn bulbs (+ onion sets & shallots) will be knocked down?
