I've just bought 14 boxes of plastic 'strawberry' netting, 3 x 2m reduced to 30p each. I sold hundred of strawberry plants earlier this year and will be doing the same next year and will give one away free with every 15 plants as an incentive for people to buy more.

There was also a big box of plastic plant clips and ties all reduced to 10p each. Spray guns of cockroach killer reduced to 30p each.

I forgot to mention that these odds & ends aren't on the shelves with the residual, core gardening stuff, but in a corner of the store where they put ends of lines, etc. and as I've never seen all those sprinklers before I suspect it's either the store clearing out their stockroom or being sent ends of lines from distribution depots for clearance.

Just goes to show that even after everything has apparently been sold off, it's still worth a look around if in town. When my wife worked close to a Wilkos she'd check it out every lunchtime. We've still got some tomato feed and big packs of Miracle Grow plant food from when she found them reduced to 10p each.

As well as bulbs and the like being sold off in our store, some gardening stuff is actually coming back in stock already; small stocks of compost, fertilisers etc...:)

Most Christmas items now half price, including artificial trees; which reminds me, my sister bought one at the beginning of last week for £25, its now £12.50!!!:snork:

Keep an eye on this stuff folks because our local store reduced Christmas items to ridiculously low prices by early January last year, we got a 6ft slimline black tree last year that had previously been on sale for £35 for 25p......yes 25p :dancy::dbgrtmb:

Plastic Poinsettia flowers reduced from £2 to 25p. Saw a customer grabbing an armful of them exclaiming "Ooooo aren't they luverly". Declined to comment.
