Not gardening stuff, but yesterday and today I've found aprons, tea towels, oven gloves & mitts, kitchen sieves, bowls, cutlery sets, garlic presses, kitchen implements, etc., all 75% off, so we've stocked up not only for ourselves, but also for our daughter for going to Uni later this year.

20 litre bags of Westland bulb compost reduced from £4.98 to £1.24.

Whilst in store I noticed Westland seed compost - 10 litres with 33% extra free for £2.50 is now on a multi-save @ 2 for £4, so 15p/litre.

I had a look on their website in case JI 1/2/3 etc were also on a multisave, but unfortunately not, but I did find that Westland Surestart Seed & Cutting Compost 20ltr previously on sale for £3 are now 2 for £4 http://www.wilkinsonplus.com/compost+composters/surestart-seed+cutting-compost-20ltr/invt/0301376 online (don't know about in store, but you can order online and collect if that seems like a good price).

The book online and collect at Wilkos is a great idea for this very good reason...... I nipped into Wilkos last spring , the only thing I needed was a packet of plant labels £1.10 . Wandering around I need this and that and two of them........Mrs H joined me and started throwing things in ...well I needed a basket by this time . Went to the checkout~~~ £37.25 :gaah: :snork:

Hey that's a great bargain! They do look like Colocasia, though I don't know which one. My wilko's is very small so they don''t have much in the way of plants.I have to travel about 40 min car journey to the bigger one, so don't go very often. Well done.:)

Lots of plants and other garden sundries now 20% or more off :)

I picked up two packs of mulching/weedproof membrane (2m x 6m) for 75p each; don't need it at the moment but you never know when it might come in handy :heehee::biggrin:

Also picked up a young wisteria from the sale trolley for 50p, nothing wrong with it at all, don't know why it was on there, might take a few years to flower but at 50p its worth a go :dbgrtmb:

Bilbo675 Thanks for the tip off - that mulch sheet is great stuff!

I've been watching that mulch sheet and noticed a while ago it had disappeared from the website so I'd telephoned Wilkos online, gave them the catalogue number and was told what the stock levels were in all the nearest stores. So as soon as I saw your post I drove to the store that recently had 16 in stock (rather than the one that only had 4)and there were 14 still on the shelf when I got there, so bought the lot. Wilkos heavy duty (Mypex) mulch sheet is about 40% heavier than the stuff sold at Garden Centres, Ebay, etc.

All onion sets, shallots, garlic, seed potatoes (NB see P.S.), spring bulbs and potato/tomato/strawberry bags 75p reduced to each.

P.S. The seed spuds are still showing full price online which is rather disappointing as there were some red and purple varieties online that I haven't seen instore and fancied trying some at 75p/bag rather than £3.98 for 2kg).

P.P.S. I've checked back through my postings and it was also on the 10th May last year when Wilkos reduced their spuds & onion sets to 50% off - make a diary note for next year!
