Thanks everyone! Charlie's a real little poppet, and he's getting masses of confidence, bouncing all over the place, so that Bella has had to put him in his place a few times - so he's been a bit cowed in between bounces......

Mr D arrived back late last night, having been away for 2 days, and got well and truly welcomed back. Bella puts up very well with this, surprisingly!

I finally sat diwn to read the paperwork that came with Charlie - and discovered that he'd been in the kennels since the end of July. I can't believe it! People must have been put off by his habit of looking like he's snarling, when he's just being submissive..... or occasionally warning someone to back off.

He's the first of the 4 dogs we've had as rescue dogs who has been so demonstrative, and affectionate - I've never been licked so much! Something to discourage, but rather nice!

He and Daisy have made friends, and go rushing around together. All 3 of them, plus Tom,were in and out of the kitchen this morning while I was trying to do the ironing! I'm sure you can imagine the scene..... :D

Here's Daisy with him in the kitchen - note ironing table, all ironophobes!

    Welcome Charlie!

I love your thread and the pics Dendi. Seems like everyone is getting along well with everyone else, thank goodness. I had a chuckle about Bella jumping up on the kitchen chair. I wish you all many years of enjoyment and fun with the furry friends. They always seem to give you much more back than you give them, don't they?

We've certainly had a lot of fun with the gang so far - and he only got here on Sunday!! I've just been down to the living room and found Charlie on eldest son's lap on the sofa, with Bella lying with her head on 2 cushions, being stroked with his other hand. It's a dog's life..... :D
