    I remember it well , luckily I was working in a turbine factory in Devon ( Newton Abbot ) which had to be on a five day week for some reason. We also got regular cost of living pay rises due to the rampant inflation. Luckily most of my money was spent on beer in them days which did not go up in price so much , I was quids in :biggrin:
    On the point of building more nuclear power stations , which apparently only the French can do - and the electricity will cost twice as much per Kw hour . On an episode of Tomorrows World , a science program , in the mid sixties . The report said that the introduction of nuclear power would mean sending the miners home on full pay and the electricity would be so cheap we needn't meter it ! The guy who wrote that report is now the long range weather forecaster on the Express :biggrin:

          ......And now Sellafield is supposedly leaking radiation! I think the world needs to get it's act together on maintenance and safety at these plants, also safe disposal of waste before considering to build any more!
