    The main source of the "rooting chemical" is in the bark of willow, so you could just strip the bark to make the infusion.

    Dave saying that , I remember another thing , in Italy many peoples are using aspirin to keep flower alive for longer , once I even see a bunch of roses start to germinate .....You do make me think if aspirin actually can help germination ....:doh:
    another thing to try .
