Well, so far so good. The Dialup connection was dead easy to set up and while the USB Modem is a bit slower than the internal one we had on the other machine, it is much more reliable. We were on line almost all day yesterday downloading AVG and various other 'addons' and it never crashed once.
Think I may need to buy a Windows 7 for Dummies book though!

I started with Widows 7 back in Feburary as a Microsft beta tester, and have to say that i was, and stil am very impressed with.

It can't get much simpler can it :D

I still use Vista as it is a great operating system once you know how to use it. to be honest i have had no problems with Vista. Windows 7 is setup on my laptop as a dual boot. Comes in handy when i need to use certain software that won't run on Windows 7.

The look and feel of Windows 7 is very good. I wonder when windows 8 will be out ;)

I'm taking it for granted you setup Windows7 as the second os as I had heard that trying to add a second boot to a win7 machine..trashes everything...or has a way to add a second os to a windows7 machine now been found?

BTW...I've not as yet come across any programs I cannot run on Win7.

    Steve...:)

I also have found one, a Plug in for Photshop 7 will not work and crashes the Photoshop prog itself. Not that it matters I have never actually used the Plug in.

Fact is I was so concerned about incompatability that I got this new laptop just for the windows 7 experiance.
I shall still be using the Vista version on my old lappie which has all my photo applications and running quite stable at the moment.
The aim is keep this windows 7 lappie clean and running on 7 compatable progs only.

That means the image is missing or has not loaded, in this case I think the image is actually completly missing from within the theme folder of this site.

    Steve...:)
