Winter crochet again

    I used to love to make crochet balankets out of the left over wool people gave me.
    It's lovely on a cold winters night with the warm blanket on your legs crocheting away.
    Sadly I can't do it anymore you don't get the spare wool as people don't knit much nowadays and my hands ache to much.
    I do miss it.

    Inspiring creations there. Scotkat. I'm going to find out my crochet hooks although I have never progressed beyond blankets :thumb:

    And am using Bamboo hooks much lighter on the fingers.

    Gorgeous hats. I taught myself to crochet in my 20s after a friend said she'd make me a shawl but complained the pattern was too complicated. I thought stuff that, I'll make it myself, so I did. I was never able to knit as a kid (my mum was a fantastic knitter which kind of put me off as well) but again taught myself in my 30s when the odd pins and chunky yarn were popular. I prefer crochet because you only ever have one loop on the needle.

    I dont knit as when I was 8 lost most of my left little finger my late Mum tryed to ge tme to knit but too sore to bend to hold on to needle ,but crochet I so enjoy and self taught.Thankyou for the nice coment Feathers.

    My new crochet and knit sweater for myself nice and cosy ,woring on a baby blanket nearly finished for are relative.

    On sweater 2 now its a nice cosy red colour.
