The first picture is definitely Wisteria and the second Buddleia. You can also see the difference in the leaves. :)

          I most definitely agree :dbgrtmb:.

You make it either with planning and forethought or grabbing the opportunity when it occurs. If you say it never occurs it means you have just not recognised it at the time.

Of course, sometimes you grab it and find that it's covered in thorns and need to let go quickly! :heehee:

Thanks for all replys..At least I know what those trees are only another 500 plants & trees to go :gaah:

ok....just to end this on the unlucky part of it. Even if it was unlucky I had not planned to take it out or chuck it out. I just wanted to know if it was a myth, and if so what ..due to her reaction which for her was very unusual lol... I'm not into believing being unlucky or lucky. What will be will be... As for the people that own the garden centre that advised me..well now that is a worry as I dont know my plants that well. But have looked up a lot and want particular plants in the front garden & had planned to get a lot from them. I just hope I get the right plants & colour that I want :psnp:

Buddleia has small-ish fury leaves. Lilac has a flower spike that stands errect. and wysteria flowers usually droop/hang down the leaves of lolac are shiny. often wysteria is grown against a wall (though i do know of one that is growing up a metal post)
as for good and bad luck. WHAT A LOAD OF ***** if we were to follow all of the old 'folk-lore we would probably tie ourselves im knots. (or would that be bad luck too?)
