Same here. When he's not focused on playing he even seems to have a sense of humour!

This may have been mentioned before but I sometimes wonder if McEnroe is making a subtle comment when he refers to him as "Joke ivich". He must hear everyone else pronouncing it "Jock ivich" but still perseveres.

Wow! :yikes: Musetti has just knocked out Fritz, 6-1 in the 5th! I love it when smart play beats power play!

        :hapfeet::hapfeet::hapfeet:

Of course, Musetti is now knackered ... and his next opponent, Djokovic, has had a day off! Eek!

And Musetti's face dropped as he was asked how excited he was for his next match against Djokovic :roflol:

And can we blame him! Djokovic is way better at the net than Fritz is, so Musetti will need a different game plan on Friday. Still, you never know ...

Unfortunately, Salisbury and Watson got knocked out of the Mixed. It was fabulous tennis though, with some astonishing rallies and impossible angles. :blue thumb:

I saw the first and last games in the Alcaraz v Medvedev match.
Now watching the Djokovic v Musseti match.
              Rivetted!

I can't take to Medvedev, but he certainly has a varied game. Alcaraz was the better player today though.

I would love Musetti to win this ... but I'm afraid it is unlikely.

I didn’t post yesterday because watched on catch-up. First time watching Paolini and what a fantastic athlete she is! The energy in that match was exhausting to watch!
I’d love a 5 set between Djokovic and Musetti please.

Paolini is fantastic to watch, I agree. :blue thumb: I was puzzled that she was a new player to me given her standard, and then I realised she had never won a match on grass till this yr, so that is why she had escaped my notice. (I don't have any of the TV packages needed to watch tennis unless the BBC is covering it, so I missed her run to the final at the French Open.)

I really would love her to win today.

Did you see Alcaraz being booed by the Centre Court crowd yesterday? Not during the match, but when he said he was looking forward to Spain in the Euro's final. He took it as it was intended, all in fun. He even had the response of "I didn't say Spain were going to win!" Great reaction from a guy of just 21, and even more impressive for him to be able to joke in English.
Very different to some of the antics in the 2nd semi!

It is really hard to remember he is only 21. He does seem to have a very engaging manner and doesn't take himself too seriously.

I’ve got my snacks for the weekend of finals.
I’m really looking forward to the wheelchair finals too - an awesome display of strength and skill.

Long may he stay that way. There have been far too many in the 'spoilt brat' camp over they years.

It's good to see a Brit in the men's doubles final at Wimbledon.
