You sound like you really enjoy the great outdoors Woo, you must have a great deal of patience to sit and wait for that perfect picture, very rewarding no doubt.

Do you always go out on your own or are you sometimes accompanied by fellow enthusiasts?

This thread, although only new, is the one that I make a point of visiting everyday.

Thank you for sharing your pictures [IMG] [IMG]

One of mine also, did you see it the other night?

Gorrillas are an awesome beast and I will go to Rwanda one day,on one of those organised trips ,and get a chance to see them at close quarters in their natural habitat.

One of the most extravagant gifts from my wife to myself was an 18 inch high, seated bronze sculpted gorrilla, I even have a name for him,Darwin, and he takes pride of place on top of the stereo cabinet in our lounge.

Love both pictures Woo, well captured, looks like you had as glorious a day down there as we had up here.Lovely crisp winters day.

Having recently moved and all the odd jobs associated with it, I have had very little chance to get out and about. We do have a squirrel that comes in the garden now and then and we have plenty of birdlife but your pictures, especially these last two, have reminded me of what goes on in the local parks and reserves. This said,I really must make the effort and get out on my next day off,{Excluding Christmas and Boxing day,Thurs Dec 27th} surely I deserve it after all the graft I've have put in on almost all of my recent days off.

The house will still be here on my following day off and there's little I can do in the garden until spring, great outdoors here I come.

Lovely squirrel, woo ... I don't know if we have squirrels here. [IMG]

The other week when we went to lunch with friends at the beach, our friend was driving ... unfortunately ... as we near-missed a tortoise crossing the road as we were going up onto the motorway. If it had been just us, I'd have been out of the car like a flash ... now I'm keeping my eyes open as I didn't know we had them here. I see hedgehogs but again, unfortunately, quite flat on the roads, along with the bunnies. :(

Evening LoL ,my sister in law lives in the Almeria region of Spain and she sees tortoises now and then.

We obviously don't see any here but we do see plenty of bunnies and the odd hedgehog.

    Hi, pip. [IMG]

Isn't it illegal to sell tortoises now in the UK?

Hopefully your bunnies and hedgehogs are not flat.

I'm pretty sure the sale of tortoises without a licence and correct documentation is illegal, could be wrong, Woo no doubt will know for sure.

The bunnies We see are bounding about all over the place, the hedgehogs are quite scarce up here even with the countless miles of hedgerow lining the fields.

Hi Pip ,Lol Yes Pip you are right although the law is very complicated and is totally ignored by most of the Buyers and Breeders Companies Eg like Tesco's Ect even sell them as food in other countries such as China and surrounding Countries. If you get time have a look at this Site.www.tortoisecentre.co.uk
