    Ducks,don't you just love 'em.

Nice pics again Woo,love the white duck and its beautifully coloured beak. I was chatting to a work colleague today and he was telling me about a blue heron which had been seen in southern England recently. I'll bet you wouldn't mind seeing one of those on your stretch of river.

Pip, the Great Blue Heron, was blown off course from Northern America
(he may have told you that) and was seen in the Scilly Isles for about a week. It seemed to have disappeared after that, maybe flew to France or somewhere but birds that come this far rarely find their way back. :(

Apparently it was seen in Devon after the Scillies, not been seen recently though.

Could well have channel hopped to France and maybe flew further south to warmer climes,we'll never know.

What great pictures everybody [IMG] [IMG]

LoL, our local park had two black swans on the lake a couple of years ago. A dog attacked and killed the male and the female died of natural causes, probably a broken heart, a short time later. :( :(

    Pete,
what kind of bird is 'The anglers friend'?

I think its a cormorant, and I was being sarcastic, they hate them because they take all the fish that they want to hook.
