pip, my dear. Swans I adore.

I have read and heard about many horrific stories about swans who are very, very monogomous. One story of an incident so horrendous near us in Bucks still puts me in tears as I type.

If you read the first page of this thread, I went to the monthly market this month and was absolutely horrified by the sight of two white swand and two black ones in a cramped cage for sale. If I go in January and these beauties are there, I will ask what they are asking for them ... but God knows where I'd put them ... I have to thiok seriously on this ...

WOW Woo,obscured a little by the bushes but still a great picture.

Was it taken using a zoom or were you actually pretty close to it?

Plenty of left over turkey around here, send Roxy round :D

Great gull shots, very clear. Mrs Pip and I went for a stroll along the canal today and I was surprised at the lack of photo opportunities. Usually something stirring but not today. :(

Having said that,we stood and watched a pair of swans fly over at low level, amazing to see such large birds flying so effortlessly.

I'm finally catching up here although I've looked in several times. Who was it mentioned that you must have no end of patience to get such great pics? I can't remember but I agree.

I've been meaning to ask for some months now, why don't you open a thread just with your fox pictures? You have such wonderful shots of them that it would merit it.

Thanks for sharing and keep up the good work.
