    Hi "M" no I don't sleep I've found its much over-rated ;)

Now I have just taken this photo and got wet doing it in the rain and my arbour is in perfect condition just like me;):heehee:

ps I think you will find that it is the white concrete post in front of the arbour:whistle:

Thanks @M,that is the problem when you can finger pinch the photo and it blows them up so to speak.:)

I just think a small piece of batten on the right hand top corner where you have circled it in red would finish it off and it would match the left side:smile: I am getting a bit of a perfectionist in my old age and must have caught it off of Mr Kandy as he is so mythodical and likes things to be just right when working on projects:snork:

Oh gosh, poor Mrs Woo. I hope the weather soon warms up for her. Arthritis is such an awful condition, my mother in law has it & some days she's just in so much pain poor dear. Roll on the warm spring days.
Sending warm thoughts & good wishes

Good call, @Sheal - a Garrya in that back left corner would be lovely! Could even be coupled with a mahonia?
Under those maybe hosta and ferns?
(and just to show I pay attention to others advice e.g @JWK :heehee: ) ... some cyclemen would look pretty there too :blue thumb:

Woo - love how you have painted the arbour (you do move fast!)
