know i'm slow on here, but....
well done woo. glad to hear you're getting better. do you know about hod?? on here. obviously you will. but i want to ask, is it gardening that gives 'one' a bad back or a bad back is helped by gardening?
am not making light of all of members ailments, honestly, but just think of all the people with back pain that don't have anything to 'work' for. blimey. how horrible to have to go through the pain without nothing at the end. know what i mean? if you had to put up with that just to go to work in an office & then came home. or just sat at home with the tv. i'm not talking about scroungers, genuinely pained. What!!
Well done helen & everyone else on here that keeps going.
keep us all up to date please.
    cheers
    sandra

Hi Sandra,No not personally .Everyone's back problems have different causes and Diagnoses,My own back problems are caused by lifting to much at one time,Nothing to do with my greatest love Gardening. For me It is mentally and physically stimulating and does nothing but good.In my case
my spine tends to bend slightly over a period of time and that's when my back muscles go in to Spasms which causes the pain but they are only doing their job in tightening up and Protecting my spine.I visit my Ostio-sports physio(£40 a visit 3 visits) and he straightens me up and off I go again.(But lets Not forget the 3 weeks of absolute Agony when I cannot hardly walk)about every 6 months

Excellent Woo, [IMG] [IMG] I know I couldn't have done it, I know severe back pain too, coupled with three previous hernias and now my fourth has appeared, what you have done would be beyond me.

    Brilliant work woo [IMG] [IMG]

Look after your back. My physio told me I could keep on gardening but not to overdo it. It's good advice and seems to be working.

Keep up the good work but take a little more time to admire it - with a drink in your hand. :D [IMG]
