Hi Armandll and Sheal having just moved 3 large bamboo and a giant Fatsia Japonica against all advice, and did they take some digging up,:phew: I now have room for 12 new roses, which I will get in the next 2 months bare root ,no idea as yet what they will be,could always do with some help in deciding;)
Sheal yes it is a Eucalyptus (good job I could copy your spelling):ThankYou:Its in its first year and its racing away,My daughter now wants a Koala bear to go with it,I shall have to keep an eye on it:)

Hi Woo, yep, there's some weight in Bamboo's and Fatsia's......I'm glad it was you and not me attempting it.:heehee: Well, I only have Roses "Uncle Walter", "Regensberg", "Crazy for You", "Orange and Lemon", "Rosemoore", "Trumpeter" and "Kings Ransom" as Shrub roses and the other 13 are climbers so I can't claim to have any real knowledge on them.:dunno: Besides, I think choosing a rose is a really personal thing and despite what opinions and advice people get they usually go with their heart. I fell for "Alchemist" when searching a climbing rose to go along with your recommendation about "Compassion" for the Arbour. Even though I have an unwritten rule that I normally only get repeat flowers, and Alchemist is not, I knew it was the rose to get.
Do you have a rose grower from who you get the dry root roses from, Woo?

You can copy my spelling anytime Woo, but who's to say it's right! :heehee:

I think it was last week, I was talking to Kristen about Eucalyptus who is thinking of planting them and I suggested he got a Koala or two, but I don't think he was struck on the idea.

I had a Eucalyptus many years ago in a previous garden and it used to keep us awake on windy nights with it's rustling leaves.

They are sooooo cute Shiney. Like cuddly teddy bears, but I wouldn't want to get in the way of those claws though. :)

They use the claws for climbing but not for clinging:thumbsup: . They were very cuddly and always seem happy to hug you - and fall asleep. :heehee:
