It's amazing what you find when you start digging Woo. A hole had started to open up in the garden of one of my previous homes, so I carefully started to dig around and discovered a badly filled dis-used cess pit.

Woo, do you know how deep the pond liner is? I'm just wondering whether it's possible to get hold of one side and 'peel' it back bit by bit instead of digging it out.

Good afternoon Sheal my friend yes I have it on good authority that it is 4 feet deep in the middle right where I am digging:)

That's that idea out of the window then Woo! It looks like you have no choice but to dig. You could bury a bone in the middle and get your dogs to do the work. :heehee:

Woo, you could have a word with Egdon Oil Ltd. They've had their original planning application for drilling in the Weald Basin turned down and are applying again. They may have a spare rig near you waiting to get started. It would save you a lot of work :dbgrtmb: :heehee:

I suppose if you leave it you will have a lush area of grass where the pool area is as it will hold the water and a line around the grass where th actual liner edge is. Maybe if you just dig down around the liner edge and cut it down a foot or so that will be enough to resolve the problem without having to dig the whole pond out.

Sheal I explained at length what I wanted them to do,but they categorically refused to do it without wellingtons :heehee:

                  -------------------------------------------------------------------------

Moyra you are a star :dbgrtmb: have done what you suggested and I think it will work as the old liner will be vertical all round the edge and the liner will be only be horizontal at 4 ft and shouldn't interfere with the drainage:ThankYou:
