My "has to be approved" in Aldi is usually something with a reduced sticker. It seems they have to enter the % off manually.
I think the "how many bags" is the 10p ones (or whatever it is these days) so that they can add it to the total. Probably just part of the not-terribly-well-designed system. Or not designed with the regular honest shopper in mind, anyway.

Even though you bring your own bags, maybe you find during the course of your scanning that you didn't bring enough and have to buy some. Hence the "how many bags" at the end.

That's a shame about Lidl. One of the reasons I used them, there was none of that carp.
Our local Lidl was demolished about 6 months ago and will reopen next month. I'm expecting amazing things . Hopefully no ' encouragement '
It's in a good spot alongside a dual carriageway traffic jam. They probably made plenty of profit from people saying bggggr it, I might as well pull in and get my shopping here.

A mental health training session at work suggested to us that we should all have a “buddy” to talk to if we are feeling down. I don’t mind the talking to someone suggestion but I will NOT call them my buddy, I’m not 5!

I'll keep to the old meanings then, I know where I am with the old meanings. Modern people will just have to put up with it like I put up with them

“Those ones” … you hear it everywhere now ! Dont people understand singular and plural anymore ???? What is wrong with “those” ?
Also “can i get” when people order food and drink - i always have to resist the temptation to say “its ok the waiter will bring it” ….
