Words that get on your nerves

@shiney. I must admit I use both versions of the word. I use programme for something on the television and program for a computer program. I’m confused now!!

 

Thank goodness for that @shiney !! Not that I actually write those words much. The good thing about speech is no one knows which version you are using!!

 

The plumber has gone now. He said "See you tomorrow, tara Buddy"

 

My window cleaner calls me Cap’n. I think it shows an appropriate level of respect.

 

Where I work new recruits are now "onboarded", the "onboarding" process lasts two weeks.

Definitely not a sailor, get sea sick just watching the waves from the beach.
It's a small pharmaceutical manufacturer.

"Stunning" used to describe very small, cramped, 2-bed new builds with a parking-space sized garden.

 

That's something else I hate. ' human resources ' . It's utterly dehumanising. It is used by people who are their employees as tools.
I am often stunned by (at?) how small these new-builds are

 

I'm not sure that is the kind of "stun" they have in mind!
