I'm with all the 'like' haters. I used to feel my canines elongating when I heard politicians prefixing every response with 'Look......'

 

Oh and I've just thought of another one - 'structure' when applied to gardening.

 

Or 'Listen'... sounds so patronising, doesn't it?

We hear a lot about virtue signalling these days but what amuses me is Yorkshire signalling i.e. inserting vernacular words like ‘owt’ or ‘summat’ into a slice of otherwise standard text.
