This is incredible work Martin. I've just spent the last hour reading through the entire thread, you've given me so many ideas that I'd like to implement in my own garden. Keep up the good work, you've made amazing progress so far.

Many thanks for your kind words GB, I think it will be work in progress for a few years to come :)

This is my next plan when ive caught up with others that's going on :wallbanging:

This area is now going to be a orangery type of building, more work will be going on in this area the decking I loose will be used for storage under the new building, it will be ideal for all my gardening tools,
      2222222.JPG

This area will be a small pond, I would like a couple of fish and some frog spawn, it will ad interest for my grandkids and nice to here a little water noise.

I will update this thread when work starts hopefully in the next month

Started clearing the top half of the garden a couple of weeks ago, first job was getting two trees down to a manageable height then removing one of the stumps, theirs lots of rubble here thats been dumped by me as ive been doing various jobs,

Anyhow a few pictures bringing the project up to date.

Wow! Lots of effort getting that stump out (I remember it well from when we moved here!) but what a great job you have done! Bravo!!! :love30:

Looking forward to seeing how you develop that patch :blue thumb:

Thanks M ive got another one to get out :wallbanging: chopping it down to a manageable height with the axe was the worst job not used to swinging a axe and got a few blisters,

A few more pictures bringing the project up to date.

Rains slowed me down on this project, anyhow just the big stump to get out ive already chopped a few roots just one big one left at the back as far as i can see,

Skip is full to the top and ready to go back, next job is loosing some of the soil to the front garden, i was going to have a second pond but that would mean moving more soil so i will make raised rockery instead, hopefully no rain next week and i can get it finished.
                DSC_0525.JPG DSC_0526.JPG DSC_0528.JPG DSC_0535.JPG

The side with the stump will have a compost heap the pallet is the start of it, the opposite side will have a small seating area with a arbor over the top made from the thee square planters the ends will be left open with a climber in each end,

At the side of the seating area will be the raised rockery, more border along the fence and the rest turfed.

Got the stump chopped out today moved some shrubs did more work on the compost heap i am going to build a fence round it with a panel that removes so i can get inside it, moved lots of soil into a neighbours raised bed then started leveling some of the soil out,

Some plants are roughly where there going to go i need to string some wires on the fence for the new climbers.

                              Many thanks @Gail_68 @Sheal,

There Victorian roof tiles S not flexible but small enough to shape round things, they would be very expensive to buy to be used for edging, they was left at a property i bought and wasn't needed.
