Your garden looks fab - a lot of hard work and effort gone into it. Wish I was that clever and creative. Well done :)

Hi Anthony I dropped the level today, there was only a few bulbs needed moving, the rest of this border needs raising,

I can just bury everything else deeper apart from the pansies I am moving them backwards as I go along the other bulbs will just have a few more inch to reach the surface and my clematis roots will be deeper as they should be in the first place, many thanks for your advise.

Hi, started work on the very small paved area and path today, only the vertical slabs are fixed,

In front of the six slabs will be two rows of slabs running across the front this will eliminate the trip hazard and another six on the opposite side matching this side. the pergolas will be over the small paved areas.

                        Good choice :)

I'm growing Nasturtiums this year as well, first time in over 20 years I've had a go.

Mine are "Salmon Baby " , planning to do a wall basket with just these in it.

I sowed mine indoors about a month ago and they're just about ready to go out. I put 4 in a 3" pot ( 5 pots ), so when I put them in i can put them in little clumps without disturbing them. They should fill my half basket nicely :)

:heehee: I think you will surprise yourself just how much, and how quickly, you learn things on here and from experience. I am amazed at just how much my knowledge and experience have grown since I first joined almost 4 years ago now!

Anyway, nasturtiums: I planted some Empress of India, plus another variety I've forgotten the name of, in a tub with some sunflower seeds back in the beginning of April (ish). Outside, no protection aside from some baked, crushed egg shells as a mulch and slug protection. This is how they looked on April 23rd (St George's Day)

                              CIMG0006.JPG

Not hugely impressive, but, the weather was still being a bit iffy.
No current picture, but, they are now bigger, stronger and a promise of something beautiful to come.
Nasturtiums aren't fussy blighters, at all really. They thrive in poorer soils (too tasty and all they do is put on a lot of leaf growth and little flower). @clueless1 is possibly one of our more experienced when it comes to these hardy little annuals. I learned a lot about them from his posts :blue thumb:
