    :D Mike,the tinkling of rain drops had me running today from Hidcote Manor Gardens and abort the painting of their windows!!

    This garden and hard landscaping was redesigned by a student as part of her course work working from original pictures as it was in the 1930's..I think she has done a very good job. [​IMG]

    It took me ages to find this property which needed window repairs...It is on the books of The Land mark trust and is the strangest building I have ever seen!..Yours for around a grand a week I understand.

    And then I went back to Hidcote where they were preparing a feast for the staff.. [​IMG]

    I think it's Ginkgo biloba - but the experts will no doubt be along shortly!!!

    Very good!..Rather naughty of me but I was told what it was by the lady I was working for.She has had numerous run ins with the neighbour who owns the tree,because he will not keep it trimmed away from her roof.

    It was such a nice morning that I thought I'd show you what the old Market Hall in Campden looked like bathed in the early Sun..Not a bad place to sit for ten minutes and have a brew to start each day is it? :cool:

    I agree also, Pal, as we had one hudreds of years old at our place on the IoW and sadly (at great cost) had to have it cut down as it was underpinning (is that the phrase?) the building and the insurers were the people with the say so. :(
