Hi Paul,That pic was taken at 1pm. After lunch we pulled the ropes tight at the eaves where we had hammered in extra gutter brackets, stretched the tarp along the ridge and hung weights over the ridge down each side of the roof. There are still 5metres to do and it's fingers crossed the winds don't get under it!!

    Evening, Pal. [IMG]

That is a lovely view. Is the Lodge a one-person/family place or communal?

That uphill drive perhaps could be a problem in dodgy weather, be it wet, snow, ice, whatever.

Hi Lady.. [IMG] Actually big enough for a family but there will be just one person living there.
Strange thing was, that I measured for double glazing to be fitted inside,in the bathroom/corridor wall...in clear glass?? They aren't low level so no view from the bath or throne.. [IMG]

My son did his work experience on the Estate and he was picked up by a quad bike during icy times. [IMG]

:D :D Now what is it they say Pal..... Boys & their toys..!!!!! :D Nice little bit of work there Pal.. Is that a fishing lake that goes with the property you are renovating? Or a river? Whichever, a very nice spot, even if it is a shame to see the end of yet another big farm. Is it being split for accomadation?

Evening Marley [IMG] If you travel to Swindon via the Cirencester bypass you will see the barn near the Down Ampney junction. The lake is one of several created for the Water Park after gravel extraction.
Tha barn and house are going to be developed and included in a hotel complex. The land is owned by Savilles as are vast numbers of sites in the area previously owned and worked by the CO-OP mainly for Dairy production.
