We started a new refurb last week in a village close to out yard..

Some work to the roof had been started by a building firm that were kicked off the job.
The gardens are overgrown and haven't been tended for ages

There is even a Stable and Coach house...I was working on that sash...Apart from the paint build up it was a perfectly sound Georgian piece of workmanship, due to the fact it's under cover from the elements :thumb:

Digging footings for an extension uncovered an old celler from what could have been an earlier building.

Marley no one knows anything at this time! The plans are still in the possesion of the company thrown off site and we have limited instructions, for all we know the gardens could be carved up with more buildings. The owner lives next door and it will be private home I'm sure.
I know the village well,at least I thought I did,but I didn't have a clue the house was even there:D...it has a massive conifer screen and is just off the main street too....funny because I actually used to visit a house only yards away to see a young lady:rolleyes:...I was only young then aswell BTW!

:) Oooh intriguing...!! Do let us know if you find out..!! It really is so lovely I would hate to see it all carved up...!! That has happened to a very big old farmhouse here & it is so horrid & unsympathetic what they have done to it..!!! Damned planners let some awful things through round here sometimes....;) Especially if you have the right handshake... ;) Nudge nudge wink wink.. Know what I mean..!!:(
:) Is the owner elderly.?? As I assume they are not going to live in any of it..??
