[IMG] Oh nice work!! I would never beleive they were the same things if you hadn't said. I am hoping water doesn't turn out to be an issue this summer, but it is certainly looking like it is going to be  I am making sure I get as much rainwater this year as possible & re-routed some more guttering to rain butts in the winter. So far we are ok & nearly all full. The water seems sweet in them too so hopefully the greenhouse will be taken care of. That was the aim anyway... :D

Nice one - looks like your gonna find that useful. Are these folks using a garden designer, or are they making over themselves? By the way all the roses are breaking new leaves,so things are looking good so far :D .

The owners appear to be designing the lot.Felling over 200 trees to restore the landscape as it was in 1939,when the house was built, and opening up the views to.."Apache Pass"!as it's known locally.
Or more widely as the River Isbourne valley. [IMG]
Great news about the roses Fran ;) Looks like we are going to need rose ID soon. :D

Was it better in 1939? - sounds like they think they are resurrecting a lost garden.

The roses are leafing, but are still way behind my garden ones - unsurprising really :D . But I have hopes that all have survived and will show their blooms for identification. Give them another month and --------

The garden was much better when the house was built...the views will be so good. Too many soft woods were planted in recented years and are only fit for the MDF process they are destined for.
There are still a lot of roses waiting to be rescued...! :(
