    Rather high up this morning..

    And more work on the main house..which I discovered is quite old!

    12th Century no less!:) and this is a preserved and protected section of the outer wall construction.

    Holy cow, thats amazing, i love seeing these pics.

    Great info too on the roof, you dont see anything like that here at all, either they are shingled, or steel roof's, thats it, oh or slate tiles to look like a medeteranian house.

    Marley,it's outside but that alley is not linked to the main street....I discovered that the firm I work for fitted it,and two others, 15 years ago after they uncovered the timber frame which had been rendered over:doh:
    Wattle & Daub it is Jazmine:thumb:
    Penny,are yours like my friends in Winnipeg?:).I have visited....on Google Earth:D

    We had our roof done last summer and they are the asphalt roof shingles, i like the slate roof that you posted in the pic.

    Hidcote Manor Garden NT. We are extending the Green house...

    For my part,I stained the timbers in our yard with boiled,coloured Linseed oil...as was done pre modern wood stains.

    Glazing to be done by others I think,but some of the lads reckon I've got the job according to the Architect:scratch:....gonna need a decent bloke or two to help,no doubt!
