As a former member of the Building Industry (Decorator, employee and employer) I can appreciate that document. Particularly interesting is the "Swept Valley" picture, I can see how the slates are worked out to be water-shedding.

    Thanks for that.

    Thanks Pal :thumb:

I just love seeing these pictures:D, it baffles me at just how old these houses really are, and the differences from houses here, to houses over there.:)

We have no houses that are as old as the ones you somtimes post, and if we do, no one lives in them, they are at a Museum where you have to pay to see them :thumb:

Where i live over here, everyone is of the mind to tear down and build new, and its sad really, because some beautful old houses have been torn down, and when i say "old", i am only talking 100 or so years old.

I mentioned somewhere on here, that i watch a show on BBC Canada, called Escape to the Country, thats located in England, and the age of some of the houses just floors me, like for instance, there was one the other day from the early 1500's......loved it :p

Thanks again for posting these pics:), i for one.....LOVE them, we have nothing over here like that, or not in my part of Ontario :thmb:

The only sane place I've been able to go to is the Arcade in this forum:D...reckon I've played too many games and much, much too many hours in there.
Have to say though...you guys are wizards at some of the games:gnthb:...some just play games and not post, but hey! Respect!..I don't know how you all have the skill....Have you all tried any of the games in there??

Lovely photos again Paladin. I love the character that goes with the older properties including the smaller ones. I love old walls, gateways, arches etc.

Hope you get some rest somewhere!! :)

Penny I love "Escape to the Country" too, some of the people are just so hard to please.

I cannot better my scores in the arcade, some scores are so high lol. Yes I spotted some members seem to just play games  The best game I have come across on facebook is Bouncing Balls, so addictive!!

Hi Pal, I hope you are feeling better and that you have a peaceful weekend :gnthb:.

I've never visited the arcade and don't think that I will. Do you use your GC £ for that? If so, you are welcome to all mine. I'm sure the taxman will find a way to tax that as well! :hehe:
