Well we will be calling them all turnip heads when they lose :snorky:
    We lost 2- 1 to Sweden in 1992 ( Euro 1992 )

I believe that was the game that Gary Lineker was taken off towards the end and replaced with Alan Smith. Alan Shearer was an unused substitute. Even I could have got that decision right.

They will have to play a lot better. For all their energy and industry for they weren't threatening the goal. I thought the game was very lack lustre. We can't keep winning games by taking penalties.

I reckon they should do away with the 90 minutes running around after the ball and should just concentrate on the penalty shootouts because that is usually the decider in the end:snorky:

Am actually watching a bit more of Wimbledon this year because after 3 1/2 hours at the lottie in the heat I can’t face going out into the back garden to do gardening in the heat until the evening and then it is mainly to water:biggrin:

I watched Wimbledon the year Ivanisavic(sp) one and he only won it because of the amount of aces he played and he never played a decent game of tennis that day:sad:

@wiseowl you forgot to mention the sponsorship money these tennis players also get and I think Roger Federer has just a £220,000,000 (or dollars) deal with Glo something or other and Nedal is wearing a watch worth £550,000 so none of them are short of a bob or two and they will never in a million years spend that sort of money in their life time so they can give a bit of it to me:snorky:

I vaguely remember the world cup final, men's Wimbledon final and the British Grand prix all being on the same day.

                              Hello:smile:

Wimbledon will not consider changing the traditional time of the men's final on July 15 even if England reach the World Cup final.

For the first time, the two showcase finals are on the same day with the tennis scheduled to start at 2pm and the football kicking off at 4pm.
